I felt Tenchu: The Wrath of Heaven was more enjoyable as an action game than as a stealth game. If the entire game was these sorts of action/platform levels, it would have been a better game. They were more fun, and had better graphics, than the open levels. I much preferred the action/platform levels myself. There are open levels where you basically sneak around and stealth kill enemies, and there are action/platform levels that are fairly straight forward and linear where platforming and fighting is the focus.

I finished it in a few days, and had no desire to play it again. I enjoyed it, but it was nothing special. I played Tenchu: The Wrath of Heaven a long time ago when it first came for PS2. Like Samurai's they use the sword, small sword, bow and arrow, HOWEVER there are other weopons unique to the Ninja: And finally, they have to occasionally wear that cool black outfit. When speaking of the Ninja, then, we also imply that they are a secret organization, fraternity, or clan, whose skills and knowledge have been passed down in secrecy from generation to generation. And though I'm sure there are many marines who would like to believe that they are, I'm afraid it just isn't so. We cannot leave the term with such a broad definition, though, else the CIA, the FBI, and the marines could all be considered ninjas (Sam Fisher!?). In Japanese, the word is applied to a person who does covert, military operations. The first character, nin, suggests concealment, while the second, sha, means person. The word NINJA derives from the Japanese Shinobi-no-mono, which is written with two kanji characters that can also be pronounced as nin-sha, if the Chinese pronunciation is used instead. See, that's the problem, people actually think that this is what Ninjas are about. " Ninjas were assasins, not demon slayers."
